On  Friday 31st May 2024, Israel will be playing Scotland for the UEFA Euro woman’s qualifier 2025.

The Palestinian Football Association (PFA)is calling on FIFA, UEFA and all Member Associations to:
 - Take a decisive stand against the atrocities committed in Palestine and the war crimes in Gaza, by CONDEMNING the killing of innocent civilians including players, coaches, referees and officials, along with the destruction of football infrastructure.
 - Take a united front in ISOLATING the Israeli Football Association from ALL football related activities until the cessation of these Israeli acts of aggression.

In the name of humanity and out of respect for the wishes of the Palestinian Football Association, and in full accordance with Articles 2,3,4 and 5 of the FIFA Statutes along with the FIFA Human Rights Policy,

I must add my name to the demand that the Scottish Football Association:

1. Cancel their fixtures to play Israel on 31st May and the 4th June 2024, in the Women's Euro 2025 Qualifying matches.
 2. Calls for the immediate suspension of the Israeli Football Association from FIFA, as a measure of parity in line with the sanctions taken instantly against Russia, and supports the motion from the Palestinian Football Association for sanctions against the Israeli Football Association, to be presented at the FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand on 17th May 2024 .

Israel's actions have been listed as evidence of a “plausible” risk of genocide by the International Court of Justice on 26th January, which has ordered Israel to prevent genocidal acts in Gaza. More recently on March 26th, UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, has found that: “the threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide has been met.”

Football cannot serve as a display of normalisation for those who violate the most essential rights of an entire population. The Scottish Football Association must now take action and not serve to normalise and whitewash Israeli genocide.
