Join/donate to the Stop the JNF Campaign – we are a volunteer campaign and need your support.

If you are a member of a trade union, political party or campaign, ask them to endorse the international call for action against the JNF, affiliate to Stop the JNF UK and send a letter to the Charity Commission.

I am writing to ask you as the Chair of the Charity Commission to ensure that action is taken to remove JNF UK charities from the register.

JNF UK is a branch of KKL-JNF, an organisation based in over 50 countries world wide whose aim is to settle Jews in Israel and the Occupied Territories, a purpose that is not considered 'charitable' under UK charity law. The relationship between JNF UK and KKL-JNF in Israel is clear from the publicity of both. It is most clearly seen in the British Park, which clearly states on its billboards that it is funded by JNF UK charities, and is situated on the village of Ajjur which was ethnically cleansed in 1948.

KKL-JNF has a history of taking over Palestinian lands after they have been ethnically cleansed. For example, Canada Park is on the village of Imwas, ethnically cleansed in 1967.  The village of Al Araqib is today being ethnically cleansed for a KKL-JNF forest.  The KKL-JNF is complicit in ethnic cleansing, JNF UK provides funding for KKL-JNF for such activities and has clearly always understood itself as part of the same organisation as KKL-JNF.

There is clear evidence that the JNF is discriminatory.  "The JNF, in relation to being an owner of land, is not a public body that works for the benefit of all citizens of the state. The loyalty of the JNF is given to the Jewish people and only to them is the JNF obligated" - this is part of a JNF submission to the Israeli High Court.  We believe that this discrimination would be illegal and against public policy if implemented in the UK yet is being funded and supported by the activities of JNF UK charities.

KKL-JNF via its subsidiary Himnuta is complicit in Judaising East Jerusalem.  We believe that in settling a civilian population in what is internationally recognised as illegally occupied land, KKL-JNF and its subsidiary is an obstacle to peace.

No British charity should be part of, or associate itself with, an organisation that is racist, complicit in ethnic cleansing, and is an obstacle to peace.

The Stop the JNF has made an application to remove the Jewish National Fund Charitable Trust, and other JNF UK charities, from the register of UK charities.  I endorse this application and believe the document provides sufficient information for the Charity Commission to remove these charities from the register.

I appeal to you again, as the Chair of the Charity Commission, to act in the public interest by taking action to remove JNF UK charities from the register.
